Poems I like. Poems in progress. Poetry on the internet.

Poetry is a beautiful way to make sense of life, even if they might not make sense at first. Poems play with language in ways that make more expressive, specific, versatile, and most importantly, enjoyable. Simply, the joy of making enjoyable poetry for myself and others motivates me to write.

From Poem #18 and onwards (as well as the "Design and School Supplies" article), the photos are taken by me! I'm a novice.

Sometimes I write about other stuff, in prose.

I try to add my favourite in-progress or completed work biweekly (once every two weeks)!

Now, several years later, I still listen to her work frequently - especially The Changing Lights, one of such collaborations with Ishiguro.

Poem #23: "The Trail"

Inspired by walking in a small-ish public park with beautiful, towering trees. As I approached the path's end, I found myself longing not to go back into the rush of cars and pavement.

Hellstrips and Why They Matter

Written in response to a hatred of grass lawns and sudden obsession with underused urban spaces. Working on improving my prose. Unfortunately I couldn't find an image of an actual hellstrip in my photos, so here's another nice flower picture that shows what hellstrips could be.

Poem #20: "Detective"

A poem inspired by a very ordinary walk. I intended to practice using short lines when writing this piece and I'm quite happy with how it turned out! :)
